Interventional Radiology is a specialty characterized by extensive interaction with other medical specialties, fully embracing the modern concept of multidisciplinary care.
The relationship between our specialty and others is based on a shared commitment to finding the best treatment option for patients. For this reason, case discussions, multidisciplinary meetings, and tumor boards are common, where knowledge flows in both directions—where we teach while also learning.
With the aim of disseminating knowledge, presenting the therapeutic options available in Interventional Radiology to related specialties, and updating colleagues who are already familiar with the field, SOBRICE promotes the “Interdisciplinary Connection” campaign. This initiative seeks to bring into its congress physicians from specialties that may work in partnership with interventional radiologists.
As an interventional radiologist, when registering for SOBRICE 2026, you will be entitled to nominate one colleague from another specialty (such as oncologist, gastroenterologist, hepatologist, digestive tract surgeon, endocrinologist, urologist, gynecologist, or surgical oncologist), who will receive free registration for the event.
This is SOBRICE working to ensure that Interventional Radiology continues to grow, benefiting not only its member physicians but, most importantly, all patients who benefit from interventional techniques.
PS: Specialists in Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, and Diagnostic Radiology are not included as eligible participants in this campaign.
After confirming your registration (paid or exempt), click the “nominate colleague” link located in your confirmation email.
